Rebecca Edens, BBCD

My Why
My name is Rebecca Edens. I’m a mother to two amazing boys. Motherhood has allowed me to share with friends, family, and strangers about the remarkable journey that is pregnancy, birth, and parenting. When pregnant with my first I noticed fear was a common topic of conversation. I kept wondering, if women have been doing this for thousands of years, why is there so much fear and mystery surrounding labor and delivery and how can that fear be mitigated. I know women deserve more than fear and anxiety when bringing life into the world.
I had an amazing birth experience with my firstborn in a hospital and an equally wonderful but totally different birth with my second at Holy Family Birth Center. After sharing with others about my two amazing birth stories, I learned that my experience was not the norm. This realization was the catalyst for me to follow my desire to help other women feel safe and fearless as they make decisions for their birth and what the first few hours with baby look like.
About Me
Apart from loving my roles of mom and doula, I am also a volleyball and softball coach at a local high school. Working with others towards their goals is one of my greatest passions, whether that is in birth, teaching my kids a new skill, or helping an athlete progress in their performance.
When not hanging out with my family, coaching, helping babies meet their mothers, you can find me in the kitchen trying out new recipes. building and re-purposing furniture, or reading.
Training and Certifications
I have received exemplary training through Birth Boot Camp and it would be an honor to accompany you and your partner as you prepare and work to meet your baby for the first time.
